Best to go early since it won’t be open late. We finally got a chance on the last day of our trip. What a treat! We got he fried fish w jambalaya. It included potato’s salad or fresh salad and I got Mac and cheese on the side as well as bread pudding. The place is behind/ adjacent to the bar but has its own path to it. The bathroom is inside the bar. You can get. A drink there and get your food too. The prices were very decent compared to all the other places we ate at. You order in one window and pick up and pay at the other. Please do make your way to this placr

AMAZING! This place is small but worth it! I had the crab cakes and mac n cheese. The crab cakes were delicious. I am always looking for a great Mac n Cheese and this place delivered! That and the peach cobbler! The rest of the family had poboy gumbo combos and they loved it! No reservations needed but they do close at 2pm. Casual wear and great prices! We actually.tried to go again and we missed them. The bar on front was also great. The bartender Missy was very helpful!

If you walk out of those place still hungry then you ordered a side salad. Absolutely outstanding food. Po-boys loaded with choice of meat, delicious crab cakes and hot melt mac and cheese. Talk about comfort food. The Gumbo was outstanding. Look for this place instead of walking the main.

Best damn fried chicken I’ve ever had!!! I did the dark meat friend chicken Thursday lunch special only 11- a thigh, drumstick, huge serving of authentic dirty rice and potato salad with a slice of French bread. So good! This place is a hole in the wall behind a bar, great spot for a quick lunch if you want authentic New Orleans fried chicken or poBoys. Service was super friendly too.

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience. I had read the good reviews about the restaurant and wanted to try it out. When my husband and I were outside of the bar and restaurant, one of the cooks was outside and invited us in. He said the kitchen just closed, but if we wanted something simple they would cook it up. We both got the shrimp po boy with a cup of gumbo. We also got the bread pudding. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It it well worth the stop. I’m only upset we didn’t discover it sooner in our trip so we could’ve kept going back.

Small space with big flavor. I had the Hobnobber sandwich and my wife had a grilled chicken salad. The roast beef was as good as any Texas brisket and the chicken was phenomenal! Will definitely come back!
